(1) Concentric arrangement, the slurry flows along the grid, thelattice holes are seriously worn, and the slurry is easy to flow back.
(2) Radiation arrangement, the ore particles are subjected to centrifugalforce instantaneously through the grid plate, and the parallel holes moveoutward, which is likely to cause blockage.
(3) Tilt arrangement, which overcomes the shortcomings ofconcentricity and radiation arrangement and is widely used.
Second, the advantages and disadvantages of lattice ball andoverflow ball mill

Third, the ball mill "saturated" phenomenon
For ball mills under steady working conditions, the amount ofmaterial entering the mill should be equal to the amount discharged by themill. For some reason (such as large amount of sand return, large amount of rawore, etc.), the amount of material fed into the grinding machine becomeslarger, which exceeds the maximum passing capacity allowed by the grindingitself and cannot be discharged, and gradually accumulates in the grindingmachine, so that the grinding machine loses the grinding effect, which iscalled the “grinding” of the grinding machine.
Fourth, the harm of the ball mill "saturated"
“Saturation” not only causes the mill to lose (or reduce) thegrinding effect on the ore, but also destroys the stable work of the grinding.Moreover, the treatment of "saturated grinding" will also causefluctuations in the concentration and fineness of the ore to the subsequentsorting operations, which affects the normal operation of the sortingoperation. Severe grinding can cause damage to the mill. For example, when theoverflow type grinding machine is "saturated", large ore and steelballs will spit out from the inlet and discharge ports. The lattice ball millhas a large amount of entrained ore and steel balls that are poured out fromthe feed port and the discharge port.
Both of the above mills will cause a large number of steel ballsand nuggets to enter the returning sandbox. As a result, the large ore and thesteel ball collide with the scoop-type ore feeder, damage the ore feeder andthe returning sand box, causing the scoop head to fall off or the joint screwand the hollow shaft connecting screw to be deformed or sheared, destroying thefeeder and the hollow shaft concentricity and so on. In severe cases, the ballmill vibrates or beats, and the bearings and gears are damaged by impact loads.Therefore, the operation of the grinding machine must be enhanced to prevent"Saturation".
