Application Scope of Bucket Elevator

I. Scope of Application

Bucket elevator is used to transport powder, granular and small block materials when vertical or inclined. The advantages of bucket elevator are: the external dimension on the cross section is small, which can make the conveying system layout compact; The lifting height is large; It has good sealing performance, etc. Its disadvantage is that it is sensitive to overload; Hopper and traction components are easy to be damaged.

The height of the lifting material of bucket elevator can reach 80m (such as TDG type), and the commonly used range is less than 40m. The conveying capacity is below 1600 m3/h. In general, the vertical bucket elevator is usually adopted. When the vertical bucket elevator cannot meet the special technological requirements, the inclined bucket elevator is adopted. Because the traction components of the tilting bucket elevator need to be added to support the traction components when the vertical degree is too large, which makes the structure complicated, so the tilting bucket elevator is rarely used.

II. Classification

1. According to different installation methods, it can be divided into vertical type, inclined type and vertical horizontal type;

2. According to different unloading characteristics, it can be divided into centrifugal type, centrifugal gravity type and gravity type;'

3. According to different loading characteristics, it can be divided into withdrawal type and inflow type;

4. According to different types of traction components, they can be divided into belt type and chain type (Plate chain and ring chain);

5. According to different Hopper forms, it can be divided into deep bucket, shallow bucket and scale bucket (triangle bucket or trapezoid bucket).

III. Main features

1. The driving power is small, and it adopts the intensive arrangement of inflow feeding, induced unloading and large capacity hopper. There is almost no phenomenon of feeding back and digging when the material is promoted, so the ineffective power is small.

2. The lifting range is wide, and the bucket elevator has few requirements on the types and characteristics of materials, which can not only promote the general powder and small granular materials, but also promote the materials with higher grinding property. It has good sealing performance and less environmental pollution.

3. Long service life, ensuring that the materials are rarely scattered during feeding and unloading during design, thus reducing mechanical wear.
