Guidelines For The Batching Of LECA Raw Materials

Regarding the issue of inconsistent quality of the LECA in the LECA production line, and the inability to maintain stable and continuous production. The most likely reason is that the chemical composition of the raw materials is unstable, and the resulting material composition is unstable and fluctuates greatly. Stable and qualified raw materials are necessary for the continuous and stable production of qualified LECA.

One solution that needs to be followed is to have qualified and stable ingredients, homogenize them, and then age them for a certain period of time to minimize fluctuations in raw materials and ensure stable production. 

1、Batching:

The total amount of various raw materials mixed in a certain proportion for the production of LECA, their ratio and composition directly affect the performance, quality, and production efficiency of LECA. The main operating steps are as follows:

1.1 Sampling. Sample various raw materials using the following methods:

Bulk (<5mm) or powdered materials sampling: Select 9 sampling points from different piles and positions, mix and spread them evenly, use the quartering method, and take out the required amount for the experiment (test).

1.2 Test the components of the sampled materials

1.3 Based on the composition of each raw material, a certain proportion is selected for preparation through calculation, so that the resulting ingredients meet the standard requirements of "LECA raw materials".

2、Homogenize均化:

The process of achieving uniform and consistent chemical composition, particle size, moisture content, physical properties, etc. of materials through physical or mechanical methods in a certain proportion, with the aim of breaking the initial non-uniform state of materials, making the properties of the mixed materials tend to be consistent at the macro and micro levels, thereby reducing quality fluctuations in the production process, improving production efficiency and product qualification rate.

3、Ageing:

Materials are stored and fermented under specific conditions (such as natural placement, temperature and humidity control, etc.) for a period of time, causing slow changes in their physical, chemical or biological properties, thereby obtaining the stability and consistency of the raw materials, providing a guarantee basis for subsequent stable production and product quality control.

4、Test Equipment

In order to do the above ingredient work well, the production site must have a set of equipment and reagents for material composition testing,. Used for timely detection of the chemical composition of various raw materials and ingredients. If there are detection tools, the chemical composition of the material can be detected within 1-2 days. It is a daily task for testing personnel to operate instruments for timely detection of materials, which can ensure the stability of production raw materials.
