1. Technical requirements for making bricks from coal gangue

(1) sintered brick made of coal gangue

The technology of using coal gangue to replace Clay in whole or in part and adopting appropriate firing process to produce sintered bricks has matured in our country, which is the main way of comprehensive utilization of coal gangue in bulk. The chemical composition requirements of raw materials of coal gangue for the production of sintered bricks: silica is 55~70%, aluminum oxide is 15~25%, iron oxide is 2~8%, calcium oxide ≤ 2%, magnesium oxide ≤ 3%, sulfur dioxide ≤ 1%. Plasticity guidance 7~15, calorific value 2090~4180 kilojoules/kg, the radioactivity of coal gangue conforms to GB9196 -88 standard. The process of making sintered brick from coal gangue adds a crushing process to the process of making brick from clay. According to the hardness and particle size of coal gangue, jaw crusher or hammer crusher and ball mill can be selected for coarse, medium and fine crushing respectively, and the raw materials can be aged to increase plasticity.

Coal gangue sintered brick adopts internal combustion type to avoid excessive internal combustion as much as possible. Most of the coal gangue sintered bricks use one-time code-fired tunnel kilns, or kilns such as wheel kilns, and use the waste heat of kilns to set up a drying chamber. Its products meet the standards of GB5101-93, GB6763-86.

(2) sintered hollow brick made of coal gangue

Using coal gangue as the main raw material, the chemical composition of coal gangue is the same as that of coal gangue to make sintered bricks, but the requirements for crushing are relatively high, and the moisture content is generally between 13-17%. The high-pressure extruder is used for molding, and the tunnel kiln can be burned at one time. The product quality is in accordance with the standards of GB13544-92, GB13545 -92 and GB6763-86.

2. Technical requirements for cement production from coal gangue

(1) Burning Portland cement clinker with gangue instead of clay

When firing Portland cement clinker, mix a certain proportion of coal gangue, partially or completely replace Clay to prepare raw meal. The main choice of gangue is washing gangue. The rock type is mainly argillaceous rock, and the sandstone content is as small as possible. The chemical composition of the raw meal should meet the requirements of producing high-quality cement clinker, the content of some harmful components must be controlled within a certain range, and the product should meet the GB175-92 standards.

(2) using coal gangue as mixed material to grind all kinds of cement

Most of the over-fire gangue and the gangue calcined in the medium temperature active zone in our country are high-quality volcanic ash active mixed materials, which can be mixed with 5%-50% as mixed materials to produce different kinds of cement products. The coal gangue used as cement mixture is required to be carbonaceous mudstone, mudstone, sandstone and limestone (calcium oxide content> 70%), and the coal gangue that is overheated or calcined is usually selected. The activity of coal gangue should conform to the standard of GBl2957-92, radioactivity should conform to the standard of GB9196-88, and volcanic ash Portland cement should conform to the standard of GB1344-92.

3. Technical requirements for lightweight aggregate made from coal gangue

About 40% of the coal gangue accumulated in our country is suitable for firing lightweight aggregate (called calcined coal gangue lightweight aggregate), and about 10% of the over-heated coal gangue can be made into lightweight aggregate (called spontaneous combustion coal gangue lightweight aggregate) through crushing and sieving.
