Ceramsite sand production process

The bauxite with a particle size of300-500mm will be crushed and sent to a boiling furnace dryer for drying, andthen with manganese powder, admixture, etc. through the batching station, intothe grinding system with high efficiency vortex separator. The raw materialpowder with a fineness of 400 mesh or more is a new granulator developed byZhengzhou Mining Machinery. After adding water, the raw material powder is madeinto pellets with acceptable particle size.

The pellet enters the dryer set at the end ofthe kiln, uses the waste heat of the kiln exhaust gas to reduce the moisture ofthe pellet, and then passes through the sieve to enter the rotary kiln forcalcination. The calcined ceramsite sand is cooled by a single cold machine andsieved through a cylindrical sieve. The qualified different particle sizes arepackaged and shipped, and the unqualified pellets are returned to the grindingsystem.

The fuel calcined in the rotary kiln can befresh water, electric power, natural gas solid fuel or the like.
