Installation and Maintenance of Plate Feeder

The plate feeder is a kind of continuous transportation machinery widely used in mines, metallurgy, building materials,ports, coal and chemical industrial and mining enterprises. It is mainly usedas a continuous and uniform supply and transport of various heavy weights andabrasive bulk materials from the storage bin or the transfer funnel to thecrusher, batching equipment or transport equipment. It is one of the importantand indispensable equipments in ore and raw material processing and continuousproduction process. Here we come to understand the installation and maintenanceof the plate feeder.

First, installation adjustment, testmachine and maintenance

1. During the 20 days before the formal installationof the plate feeder, the base position must be completed according to the basicdrawing size.

2. When installing, according to theinstallation basis, the longitudinal centerline of the plate feeder and thedriving axle of the head wheel device and the lateral centerline of the tailaxle of the tail wheel device are determined first.

3. The installation sequence is: head wheeldevice, tail wheel device, intermediate frame, weight roller, chain, chainplate, and finally mounting support and blocking plate.

4.Installation should be paid to attention

(1) Pull calibration is to make thelongitudinal centerline of the head sprocket and the tail sprocket overlap. Theerror should not exceed 2.5mm.

(2) Intermediate rack installationrequirements are parallel to each other.

(3) When installing the chain plate, thelarge arc of each chain plate should cover the other chain plate, and thedirection of the large arc should be the same as the conveying direction.

(4) The center height of the transmission andthe center height of the feeder shaft coupling should be the same. Thedeviation must not exceed 1.5mm.

(5) Properly adjust the tension of thetensioning device screw. The tension of the chain does not have to be tootight.

(6) After the installation is completed,first rotate the coupling shaft of the motor shaft by hand, and then drive thewhole machine to test rotation to observe whether the rotating parts rotateflexibly. If any, the phenomenon of jamming should beeliminated and adjusted immediately.

(7)Check in detail whether the nuts and boltsat the joints of the machine are loose, and if they are loose, they must be fastened.

5. Empty car test run:

(1) After the whole machine has beeninstalled and is ready to be solidified by the secondary grouting of thefoundation reserved hole, the anchor bolts of the machine can be fastened, andthe motor power can be turned on to perform an empty car test run.

(2) Before the test machine, the gears andreducer must be lubricated. The oil level of the reducer should meet thespecified requirements.

(3) With the rotation of the machine,attention should be paid to observe the conditions of all parts of the machine.If any problems are found, the machine should be shut down immediately.

(4) The test machine should pay attention toobserve the chain and the head and tail sprocket meshing is smooth, the chainwith or without the phenomenon of track, if no problem, will continue to emptytest machine for 4 hours to complete the empty test machine work.

6. Loading test machine:

(1) When feeding the plate feeder for thefirst time, it cannot be dumped by a dump truck or the like. It should bemanually loaded on the chain feeder of the plate feeder. After about 1 meter ofmaterial is loaded, only by mechanical feeding can be deformed and damaged by strong impact.

(2) The operation of the load tester is thesame as that of the empty load tester. If everything is normal and the loadtest run is completed, it can be delivered for normal production use.

7. Maintenance:

In the process of putting into operation,plate feeders must pay attention to maintenance and inspection to ensure normalproduction. The chain pin should be filled with calcium-based grease once amonth and the tooth surface of the gear should be coated with calcium-basedgrease once. Half a year remove the chain, pin, roller for cleaning or repair.Pay attention every month to observe whether the oil level of the reducer meetsthe specified requirements, and change the oil of the reducer once every sixmonths.

During the operation of the machine, it isnecessary to regularly inspect the operating conditions. If there are any partsthat have been deformed or damaged, they must be replaced or repaired in timeto ensure the integrity of the machine.
